Validation and temperature mapping

Temperature assessment for refrigeration equipment: a measurement programme, records, charts, findings and practical recommendations.

Temperature mapping of a medical refrigerator

Assess storage conditions through measurements

Temperature mapping helps assess temperature distribution within the working volume rather than relying only on a display reading. A temperature-validation programme is defined around the equipment, operating conditions and acceptance criteria.

Equipment and areas considered

The scope can include medical and laboratory refrigerators, freezers and thermal containers. Cold rooms and storage areas require a prior technical review. Loading, door-opening or power-interruption scenarios are included only when specified in the agreed programme.

Information needed before testing

  • Equipment type, model, volume and installation location.
  • Operating range and requirements for the materials being stored.
  • Usage patterns, loading and existing monitoring arrangements.
  • The purpose of the assessment, acceptance criteria and reporting requirements.

How the work is organised

Before measurements, we agree equipment preparation, sensor positions, duration and permitted operating scenarios. The recorded data are processed and compared with the defined criteria. Scope and applicable requirements are established before work starts; the service is not presented as universal certification.

Results and follow-up

The agreed reporting package includes a protocol, measurement records, charts, conclusions and practical recommendations. Any need for reassessment after repair, relocation or changed operating conditions is considered separately.

The work can be connected with refrigeration equipment selection, technical service or facility equipping. Contact us to discuss a programme.
